Product Overview
This Spears Manufacturing Co. (model 4136-007SS, TMS-0750) CPVC transition adapter connects Copper Tube Size (CTS) CPVC piping systems to male iron pipe thread (MIPT) components. It features a molded CPVC body with a 304 Stainless Steel male pipe threaded end and an EPDM O-ring for sealing. The adapter includes an internal knurl for reliable connection integrity and a large stainless steel hex for easy wrench tightening to IPS (Iron Pipe Size) fittings. It meets or exceeds ASTM and ANSI standards, including ASTM D2846 for CPVC hot and cold water distribution systems, and complies with all low-lead plumbing laws. The CPVC material is ASTM E84 25/50 Flame and Smoke Rated when water-filled, suitable for use in return air plenums. It is NSF® Certified for potable water applications. The 304 Stainless Steel construction is galvanically compatible with brass and copper in potable water plumbing systems, reducing corrosion risk. This adapter is rated for 100 psi at 180°
