Product Overview
This Spears Manufacturing Co. 4136-010BC male adapter is engineered from Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) for connecting 1 inch Copper Tube Size (CTS) piping. It features a Male Iron Pipe Thread (MIPT) connection on one end and a Socket (slip) connection on the other, allowing for solvent welding or threading during installation. Designed for hot and cold potable water distribution systems, it can also be used in industrial applications involving corrosive fluids. The adapter is rated for a continuous working pressure of 100 psi at 180°F (82°C) or 400 psi at 73°F (23°C). CPVC construction provides resistance to rust, pitting, scaling, and corrosion, and its smooth interior walls contribute to lower pressure loss and higher fluid volume. It conforms to ASTM D2846, ASTM D1784, and ASTM F439 standards, and is NSF International certified for potable water service and lead-free under NSF Standard 61, Anne
