This Spears Manufacturing CPVC transition bushing, part number 4140-010BC, is a 1 inch nominal Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) fitting designed to connect piping systems with differing sizing standards. It features an International Pipe Size (IPS) spigot end and a Copper Tube Size (CTS) socket end, facilitating transitions from IPS to CTS piping through solvent welding. The bushing is suitable for use in residential and commercial hot and cold potable water distribution systems. It complies with ASTM D2846, NSF Standard 14, and NSF Standard 61 for potable water service, and is rated for a continuous working pressure of 100 psi at 180°F (82°C).
