The Spears Manufacturing Co. 435-130BC is a Schedule 40 PVC reducing female adapter designed to connect a 1-inch PVC pipe to a 1/2-inch male-threaded component. It features a socket end for solvent-cement bonding to 1-inch PVC pipe and a female NPT (National Pipe Thread) threaded end for connection to 1/2-inch male threads. Constructed from Type I, Grade 1 PVC (Cell Class 12454-B) conforming to ASTM D 1784, this adapter meets ASTM D 2466 standards for socket-type PVC fittings. It is NSF/ANSI 61 listed for potable water service, suitable for fluid temperatures up to 140°F (60°C), and rated for 450 psi at 73°F.
