This Spears Manufacturing DE4107-005CG (or 53055) EverTUFF CPVC Drop Ear Elbow, manufactured from chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC), is designed for 90-degree directional changes in plumbing systems. It features a 1/2-inch Copper Tube Size (CTS) socket connection for solvent welding to CPVC pipe and a 1/2-inch Female National Pipe Taper (FNPT) threaded connection for adapting to male metal pipe threads. The drop-ear design includes lugs for secure fastening, and it comes with an elastomeric gasket to ensure a leak-proof seal when hand-tightened, eliminating the need for joint compound or PTFE tape. Suitable for hot and cold water pressure distribution systems in residential and commercial applications, this elbow is resistant to rust, pitting, scaling, and corrosion. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 400 psi at 73°F and 100 psi at 180°F, complying with ASTM D2846 and NSF standards for potable water.
