Product Overview
This Spears Manufacturing Co. CPVC stop valve, part number 8422-005 (SCC-0500-S), is designed for use in chlorinated poly(vinyl chloride) (CPVC) plastic hot and cold water distribution systems. Constructed with a CPVC body and bonnet, an ABS handle, a polypropylene stem, and an EPDM stem seal, the valve is rated for 100 psi at 180 degrees Fahrenheit. It features CTS Hub x CTS Hub connections and includes a side port for draining on the non-pressure side. This valve conforms to ASTM D 2846 specifications, meets or exceeds all ASTM and ANSI standards, is listed by IAPMO as meeting Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) requirements, and is NSF Standard 61 listed for potable water service. The product is molded in the USA.
