This Spears Manufacturing Co. PVC extend socket coupling (MPN 479-007, E30107) is a molded Schedule 40 fitting designed for joining two sections of PVC pipe in pressure applications. Constructed from PVC Type I, cell classification 12454, it conforms to ASTM D 1784 for material quality. The coupling features 3/4 inch nominal slip x slip (socket x socket) connections for solvent-weld bonding. Its extend socket design provides deeper pipe engagement, facilitating field pipe repair and splicing by allowing the coupling to slide over one pipe end and then be repositioned over the joint for a secure connection. The fitting is manufactured in compliance with ASTM D 2466 and is NSF® Certified for potable water service, suitable for fluids with service temperatures up to 140°F (60°
