Product Overview
This Spears Manufacturing Co. CPVC Copper Tube Size (CTS) Transition Adapter, model TPC-010-S, is designed for joining CPVC plumbing systems with PEX piping. Constructed from PlatinumXCELL CPVC material, it adheres to ASTM D1784 Type IV, Grade I Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride with a cell classification of 23447. The adapter features a CPVC solvent weld socket end for connection to CPVC pipe and a stainless steel PEX barb end for crimp or clamp connection to PEX tubing. It is pressure rated for continuous working conditions of 100 psi at 180°F (400 psi at 73°F) and is NSF certified for drinking water safety, low lead content (NSF Standard 61, Annex G), and UPC/IAPMO listed, making it suitable for hot and cold water distribution system
