Product Overview
This Spears Manufacturing Co. TUF-007 transition union connects a 3/4 inch nominal CPVC piping system to male metal pipe threads. It features a CPVC slip connection for solvent welding to CPVC pipe and a lead-free brass female NPT threaded connection. The union design permits easy disassembly and reassembly of piping system components for maintenance or modifications, and helps compensate for thermal expansion differences between CPVC and metal piping in hot water applications. Constructed from CPVC and lead-free brass, this union is typically rated for 400 PSI at 73°F (23°C) and 100 PSI at 180°F (82°C). It is manufactured to meet ASTM F439 standards for CPVC plastic pipe fittings and is NSF/ANSI 61 certified for potable water applicati
