Product Overview
This union transition adapter connects 3/4 inch CPVC (Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride) spigot connections to 3/4 inch Male Iron Pipe Thread (MIPT) connections. Constructed with lead-free brass for the MIPT side and CPVC for the spigot side, it features an EPDM washer to ensure a leak-proof seal. The design incorporates molded-in-place metal threads and a secondary O-ring seal to compensate for expansion and contraction variations between materials, ensuring superior strength and reliable metal-to-plastic transitions. It meets or exceeds applicable ASTM and ANSI standards, including ASTM D2846 for 25-50 Flame & Smoke Rating when water-filled. The adapter is suitable for various plumbing applications, with a maximum temperature rating of 180 degrees Fahrenheit.
