Product Overview
Starborn Cap-Tor XD #10 composite/PVC deck screws, MPN CXD53L10275, are designed for secure fastening of PVC and composite decking materials. These #10 gauge, 2-3/4" length screws feature a dark gray epoxy-based polymer resin coating over carbon steel for corrosion resistance and color matching. They incorporate an extra deep T20 Star drive recess to prevent cam-out, an undercut head for clean countersinking, and reverse threads to prevent mushrooming on the deck surface. The tri-lobular shanks enhance driving power by reducing torque, while the Type 17 auger tip facilitates faster insertion and helps prevent splitting without pre-drilling. These fasteners are approved for use with all major PVC and composite deck brands and are compatible with ACQ treated lumber.
