The Starborn Cap-Tor xd #10 x 2-3/4" T-20 Star Drive Epoxy Coated Decking Screw, MPN CXD53T10275, is designed for securing PVC and composite decking, providing a clean and uniform finish. These screws feature an extra deep T-20 star drive recess to prevent cam-out and an undercut head to effectively cut through the hard outer layer of capstock decking, minimizing mushrooming. They incorporate reverse threads to prevent surface defects, tri-lobular shanks for reduced driving torque, and a Type 17 auger tip for faster, easier insertion and to help prevent splitting. This screw is constructed from epoxy coated carbon steel and is approved for use with ACQ treated lumber. It is color-matched in Dark Grey for seamless blending with various decking brands and is typically installed flush with the decking surface.
