Starlite Security Devices The Whip HVAC Pressure Monitor
The TW-8100 (The Whip) is a high-security air conditioner security device designed to secure the copper coils of any air conditioner or heat pump system. The tamper-proof design incorporates a mechanically operated dry contact connected to an array of field-selectable End-of-Line resistor wire leads so that it can be securely connected to any brand of electronic security system or wireless transmitter.
Once installed, The Whip monitors the pressure inside of the copper coils of the air conditioner system. When the copper is cut (e.g. by a thief) the pressure drops, causing The Whip to actuate. Typically to activate a loud siren, activate lights, notify the authorities, notify the owner, trigger video recording, or any combination thereof.
