Product Overview
STP Oil Treatment, identified by manufacturer part number 66079 (ST101412), is a high-viscosity engine oil additive formulated to protect against engine wear and reduce oil consumption. This product contains Zinc Dialkyl Dithiophosphate (ZDDP), an anti-wear agent that helps fight metal-to-metal friction by providing a thicker cushioning layer between moving engine parts. Composed primarily of mineral oil, this dark brown liquid has a petroleum-like odor, a specific gravity of 0.88, and a viscosity of 260 cSt. It also helps counteract oil thinning by boosting viscosity and improving overall oil performance. One 15 oz bottle is typically recommended for use with 4-5 quarts of motor oil, compatible with both conventional and synthetic engine oils. The flash point for this treatment is 275°F
