Manufactured from acrylic (Polymethyl-Methacrylate or PMMA), the handhold is optically transparent and resistant to moisture and UV exposure. Its design integrates an increased bonding surface area and positions the axis of rotation below the bonding point, enhancing stability and minimizing strain on the installation surface. Engineered to resist capillary intrusion, it prevents water damage, mold, and delamination. This handhold is designed for easy installation, typically glued directly onto pool tile, offering an alternative to traditional thinset methods and eliminating the need for complex structural modifications. It complies with safety standards such as ANSI Section 17 (referenced in ANSI/APSP/ICC-5 and ANSI/APSP/ICC-1) and ISPSC 2021 Section 323, which require handholds where water depth exceeds 42 inches (1067 mm) and mandates their placement within 12 inches (30 cm) above the waterline.
