Product Overview
The Swanson Tool Co. DETR21005 detectable underground warning tape is designed to mark and protect buried electrical utility lines. This 5 mil thick tape measures 2 inches wide by 1000 feet long and features a solid aluminum foil core laminated between polyethylene layers, allowing it to be located from the surface using a non-ferrous metal detector. The red tape, conforming to APWA color codes for electrical power lines, is reverse-printed with a "CAUTION BURIED ELECTRIC LINE BELOW" legend that resists degradation from soil acids and alkalis. It offers a tensile strength of 15,000 PSI and maintains performance in temperatures from -60°F to 250°F. The tape meets ASTM D-2103, D-882, D792-66, and D2578-08 standards for physical propertie
