The Universal Sash Storm Window Frame is made from roll-formed aluminum and comes in a bronze finish for use with removable storm window panels. Its 146" (3708mm) stock length can be cut to suit the required frame size. The profile measures 5/16" (7.9mm) width and 11/16" (17.5mm) in height, with a 3/8" (9.5mm) top opening height. It accepts glass or acrylic panels up to 1/8" (3mm) thick. The aluminum body adds rigidity while keeping the completed panel lightweight enough for seasonal installation and removal. A factory-installed vinyl gasket grips the glass or acrylic panel without adhesive, helping reduce mess during assembly. Built-in pile weatherstripping helps limit air infiltration between the secured panel and the existing window frame. This universal sash frame is suitable for replacement storm windows, removable glazing panels, and custom window-frame projects where a slim aluminum profile, panel-holding gasket, and integrated weather seal are required.
