Product Overview
Talstar XTRA Granular Insecticide, also marketed as Talstar XTRA featuring Verge Granule Technology, is an outdoor pest control product developed by FMC Corporation (now Envu Professional Solutions). This granular formulation contains 0.2% Bifenthrin and 0.05% Zeta-Cypermethrin, which are pyrethroid insecticides (IRAC Group 3A). Its innovative Verge granule technology provides uniform, odorless, and dust-free granules designed to dissolve quickly upon watering, ensuring rapid delivery of active ingredients. The product offers broad-spectrum control against over 75 lawn pests, including fire ants, fleas, ticks, chinch bugs, mole crickets, earwigs, and crane flies. It is proven to eliminate fire ant colonies in as little as 15 minutes and provides residual control for up to four months. This insecticide is suitable for broadcast lawn, perimeter, and mound treatments around residential, institutional, public, commercial, and industrial buildings, parks, recreational areas, and athletic fields. It is not for use on golf courses, sod farms, nurseries, commercial greenhouses, or for commercial seed production. The product is registered under EPA Reg. No. 279-9552.
