This CRL Window Sash Lock has a latch which projects 1/2" (12.7 mm) from the edge of the housing. The lock does not use a separate keeper as the latch engages the fixed rail to lock the window. This popular lock is used by many window manufacturers on both horizontal and vertical sliding windows.
