Product Overview
The SELECT TIPIT LB ligature-resistant hospital tip is an accessory designed for use with continuous geared hinges, preventing individuals from attaching objects to the top of the hinge. This enhances safety in environments such as hospitals, correctional facilities, and schools by deterring self-harm. Compatible with SELECT geared continuous hinges (including SL21, SL41, SL52, SL53, SL54, SL57, SL71, SL77 models), it can also be retrofitted to most other brands of full surface, half surface, half mortise, swing clear, and concealed safety continuous hinges. Constructed from durable polymer, this tip features a black finish. It securely mounts to the door frame header above the hinge using the included #10 Torx® SST security screw(s). The TIPIT L measures 3-5/1" wide x 1" high x 1" deep. The TIPIT system contributes to Joint Commission-compliant solutions and meets ligature resistance patient safety standards.
