This Tytan International HB10500Y polypropylene rope is an 8-strand utility cord featuring a 5/16 inch (0.312 inch) diameter and a length of 500 feet, presented in a yellow finish. Constructed from polypropylene yarns, this rope offers a combination of high strength and lightweight properties, making it an economical choice for various applications. It exhibits excellent resistance to most chemicals, including acids, alkalis, oils, and organic solvents, and is rot-proof. The material does not absorb water, maintaining 100% of its strength when wet, and has a specific gravity of less than 1.0, causing it to float. With good abrasion resistance, moderate elongation (12-22% at break), and a melting point around 165°C (330°F), it is suitable for camping, outdoor tie-down uses, and marine environments where buoyancy and water resistance are beneficial.
