This Tytan general-purpose rope, identified by MPN PP12300YD, is constructed from lightweight polypropylene (PP) synthetic fibers. It features a 1/2-inch diameter and a length of 300 feet, supplied in yellow for high visibility. Polypropylene rope is naturally buoyant and floats on water, making it suitable for marine and aquatic applications. It is resistant to rot, mildew, oil, water, gasoline, and most chemicals. The material includes UV inhibitors to enhance resistance against ultraviolet degradation. While it is an economical choice and offers good strength relative to its weight, its knot retention is less than desirable compared to other rope materials.
