The Tytan International PP516600TM polypropylene rope is a general-purpose synthetic rope measuring 5/16 inch in diameter and 600 feet in length, in a tan color. Constructed from polypropylene yarns, this rope is an economical and lightweight option known for its ability to float and its resistance to rot, mildew, oil, gasoline, water, and most chemicals. It also exhibits good dielectric properties, making it suitable for electrical adjacent applications. While offering good strength and ease of handling due to its smooth surface, polypropylene rope has less desirable knot retention and can degrade over prolonged UV exposure if not adequately stabilized. It is widely used for marine applications, general utility, agriculture, and construction.
