This Tytan International SR125012 Sisal Rope is a natural fiber rope, derived from the Agave Sisalana plant, featuring a 1/2 inch diameter and a 50-foot length supplied in a mini coil. Known for its coarse texture and natural tan color, sisal offers low stretch and excellent knot retention, making it suitable for a variety of tasks. It is biodegradable and commonly utilized in agricultural applications such as tying plants and baling, and in industrial settings for lashing and bundling. Other uses include marine applications for mooring small craft, gardening, general utility, crafts, and pet care, such as cat scratching posts. Sisal exhibits fair abrasion resistance and good resistance to heat and sunlight, though it has poor resistance to acids, alkalis, oil, and gas, and can degrade with frequent water exposure.
