Product Overview
The Tytan International SR385012 is a natural fiber rope constructed from sisal fibers, extracted from the leaves of the Agave sisalana plant. This 3-strand twisted rope features a rough, coarse texture that provides high friction and excellent knot retention, making it suitable for a variety of tying and bundling applications. Sisal rope exhibits very low stretch and is biodegradable. It is commonly used in agricultural settings for tasks like tying plants, in industrial applications for packaging and bundling, and for pet care items such as cat scratching posts. The rope measures 3/8 inches in diameter and comes in a 50-foot mini coil. While resistant to sunlight, sisal rope absorbs moisture and can weaken, shrink, or mold with prolonged exposure to wet conditions, and has poor resistance to acids, alkalis, oil, and gas.
