This Color Putty Oil-Based Wood Putty, from U.C. Coatings LLC (MPN 100X100LB), is formulated to fill nail holes and minor imperfections in woodwork, paneling, furniture, and cabinetry. The white putty, designated color code 100, is one of 17 available colors that can be intermixed for custom color matching. This ready-to-use formula has very little odor and is compatible with oil-based sealers and finishes, making it suitable for application after staining or sealing wood. Unlike traditional wood fillers, it remains slightly flexible, preventing shrinking, cracking, or falling out, which is beneficial for repairs in areas with fluctuating temperature and humidity. It does not dry to a sandable hardness. This product is supplied in a 1-pound jar and requires mineral spirits for cleanup. It is intended for use on already-finished wood surfaces and should not be applied to unfinished wood prior to staining, as it will not accept stain properly.
