Product Overview
Replace your old rack and pinion steering system with this easy-to-install design. The Racktech Rack and Pinion steering package offers a compact installation and features the M86 cable with an armor-wrapped stainless steel core for maximum efficiency and minimal lost motion. Ideal for boats with minimal clearance behind the dash, Racktech is recommended for power-assisted sterndrives and other applications with minimal rudder torque. Includes G86 helm and X34 90 degree bezel. The Racktech G86 helm is designed for easy installation and can be installed as a direct replacement for SeaStar Solutions rack and pinion steering systems that use the SSC 124 rack cable. NOTE: Where boat speeds exceed 50mph, we recommend hydraulic steering systems. This system is not for use on boats equipped with engines that exceed the maximum horsepower rating of the boat.
