Tef-Gel anti-seize paste contains 40% PTFE powder, and 0% volatile solvents. It has no silicones or petroleum solvents to evaporate and leave voids. So when both surfaces are coated and mated with Tef-Gel, there are no voids for electrolytes (saltwater) to be drawn into over extended periods of time - so corrosion-producing micro galvanic cells cannot form. Tef-Gel will not evaporate, cold flow, or dry out - thus giving protection many years later when hardware must be dissembled. Stops corrosion of stainless screws in aluminum and any other dissimilar metal corrosion. Stops seizing, assemble with Tef-Gel and disassemble with ease. Stops galling of stainless bolts and nuts. Tef-Gel does not electrically insulate hardware or electrical connections.
