The USP Structural Connectors PAU66-TZ Post Anchor secures 6x6 wood posts to concrete footings, offering enhanced uplift resistance. Constructed from 10-gauge steel, it features a 1-inch stand-off plate to elevate wood posts, providing moisture damage protection and meeting building code requirements for preventing wood-to-concrete contact. This anchor is finished with Triple Zinc (G-185) galvanization, making it suitable for use with ACQ pressure-treated lumber and outdoor applications. Its dimensions are 5-1/2 inches wide by 6 inches high by 5 inches long. Installation typically requires one 5/8-inch anchor bolt for the concrete connection, and either twelve 16d nails or two 1/2-inch bolts for securing the post (fasteners not included). The PAU66-TZ meets compliance standards including ICC-ES ESR-1881, ESR-3449, FL821, L.A. City RR 25779, and Dade County, FL 07-0306.06. This post anchor is not designed for unrestrained applications like fence posts or to resist overturning loads.
