Product Overview
The WSBH10-EXTR12 structural wood screw by USP Structural Connectors, now part of MiTek, features a 10-inch length and a bugle head designed to sit flush or countersink into the wood surface for a clean finish. Fabricated from Grade 5 steel with a 1/4-inch shank diameter, this fastener is treated with a proprietary EXT coating, providing exterior-grade corrosion resistance, and is an alternative to traditional lag screws and bolts. It incorporates a Type 17 self-drilling point for easy installation without pre-drilling in most wood types, and coarse threads to effectively draw materials together. The T30 Torx drive (six-lobe recess) reduces cam-out during installation. This screw is code compliant under ICC-ES Evaluation Report ESR-2761 for wood-to-wood structural connections, suitable for applications like framing and deck construction. The head diameter is 0.46 inches.
