The MiTek WSWH45-R50 structural wood screw, part of the MiTek WSWH series, is a heavy-duty fastener designed for robust wood-to-wood connections. Constructed from Grade 5 alloy steel, it features a 1/4-inch diameter and a 4-1/2 inch length. The screw is equipped with a large washer head for superior load distribution and includes nibs underneath to ensure flush seating. Its T30 Star drive prevents cam-out during installation, while the self-drilling Type 17 point eliminates the need for pre-drilling and reduces wood splitting. An exterior-grade triple zinc coating provides enhanced corrosion resistance, making it suitable for outdoor applications, including deck ledgers and multi-ply engineered wood product (EWP) connections. The screw length is stamped on the head for easy identification. This product complies with ICC-ES ESR-2761, Florida Product Approval FL17231, and LABC ESR-2761. It is supplied in a box containing 50 pieces.
