Product Overview
The MiTek Pro Series WSWH8-EXTR12 structural wood screw, manufactured by USP Structural Connectors, features a washer head design for heavy-duty wood-to-wood and steel-to-wood connections. This 8-inch long screw serves as an alternative to traditional lag screws and through-bolts in applications such as deck ledgers, framing, and multi-ply engineered wood products. It has an exterior-grade coating, making it suitable for use with ACQ or treated lumber. The screw incorporates a T30 Torx drive to minimize cam-out and a Type 17 self-drilling tip for quick installation, reduced torque, and minimal pre-drilling. Its large, flat washer head maximizes bearing area and includes underhead nibs to ensure a flush finish and reduced wood splitting. Each screw is stamped with its length for easy inspection. The WSWH series is code compliant, holding certifications such as ESR-2761.
