Product Overview
Magnus Hatches are ocean-rated hatches with strong anodized aluminum frames and low external profile. These heavy duty hatches are CE-certified AI, which means they are designed for ocean use and can be mounted in any part of the hull or deck. Friction hinges keep the hatch open in any position without the need for stay arms. The hatch can be opened through 180 degrees and there are virtually no obstructions in the hatch opening. This makes the three larger sizes ideal for escape hatches. The Magnus hatch can be opened from inside or outside the boat. They can also be left locked, either completely watertight or in a ventilation position. The frame profile is satin anodized aluminum. It protrudes 13/16" (21mm) above the deck surface. The acrylic is 10mm (3/8") thick and the color is dark smoke. An interior trim and screen are available separately for each hatch.
