VP has been making specialty fuels for nearly 50 years and is recognized as the World Leader in Fuel Technology. VP 50:1 Premixed Small Engine Fuel, with 94 octane, is an ethanol-free gas that is formulated specifically for 2 cycle engines in outdoor power equipment (OPE), such as hedge trimmers, string trimmers and chainsaws. A 2-cycle engine operates like a small race engine; it runs hotter and demands better care and maintenance. Our 50:1 mix is ready to use out of the can, which saves you time and takes the guesswork out of mixing oil and gas. Each can has the perfect oil and gas mix ratio. If you currently use pump gas to run your outdoor power equipment, STOP! It will ruin a 2-cycle engine over time. Pump gas works great for cars because it was designed for cars, which are finely tuned for it. It was not designed to power your OPE. One of the key issues is that pump gas uses ethanol as an oxygenate. Ethanol absorbs water as it sits idle in the tank. Water promotes corrosion and that corrosion eats away at all of the vital components in your expensive equipment.
