History
The company’s founder, Josef Wagner, was born on 10th March 1907. In 1947, the company “Wagner Vertriebsges mbH” is recorded in the trade register as Josef Wagner Repairs machines and trades electric motors and woodworking tools. From 1953 to 1965, the company was engaged in developing electrical paint spraying tools for skilled contractors and homeowners. During the 1960s, the brand started the production of airless high-pressure paint spraying systems. The brand kept innovating and introducing new products to the market, which has made it the industry leader in advanced paint applicators.

Today, Wagner SprayTech Corp. is generally referred to as Wagner to disprove the implication of selling only spray equipment, as it has also started to participate in the broader painting and decorating business.
