Product Overview
Water Clear Silicone Sealant is an acetic cure, 100% silicone sealant designed for building construction and glass assembly applications. It cures in the presence of atmospheric moisture to produce a flexible rubber. This sealant is suitable for glazing butt and lap shear joints, sealing curtainwall projections, and frameless shower enclosures. It adheres to clean metal, glass, wood, silicone resin, ceramic, and most painted surfaces. The sealant is packaged in a 10.3 fluid ounce cartridge featuring a removable, reusable, and resealable screw-on nozzle with a cap. It has a tack-free time of 10 minutes and a shelf life of 12 months. This product meets Federal Specifications TT-S-001543A Class A, TT-S-230C Class A, and ASTM C-920 Type S, Grade NS, Class 25, Use NT, G and A. It also qualifies for LEED Green Building Rating System Credit. Note that this sealant is not mildew resistant and is not recommended for insulating glass, copper, brass, magnesium, zinc, or galvanized surfaces.
