Product Overview
Wabo SafetyFlex (United States Patent No 6.751.918.) is an elastomeric hinged cover system that is ideal for pedestrian walkway areas. This design greatly reduces any tripping hazard by providing a smooth transition over expansion joints that are recessed in the structural opening. Independent metal plates integral to the rubber cover allows the system to flex in response to changes in vertical displacement between opposing slabs. In addition, the use of metal plates provides for load carrying capability across the joint opening and can be used in low-speed vehicular traffic areas as well. The rubber cover provides for a quiet surface when driven over.
