Security, Safety, and Style Since 1932.
The Hilgren Family founded Weslock in 1932, in California. Later, the company merged with Western Lock Sales and became Weslock Lock Manufacturing. The company continued its operations as a family business until 1960 – the year in which it was bought by Tool Research Engineering. The acquisition saw the beginning of Weslock’s corporate phase. Weslock managed its operations from the US until mid-1998. The company moved its base to Mexico during the mid-1998. It was then acquired by a group of entrepreneurs from Tulsa in 1998 and went back to being a family owned business.
