Product Overview
WEST MARINE Marine Bunk Carpet Roll Protect your hull from damage while launching, loading, storing and trailering your boat. You could replace your bunk board carpeting with ordinary carpet, but it would easily tear, hold water and the backing will break down quickly in the marine environment. The best option would be to use Deluxe Marine Bunk Carpet from West Marine. In addition to protecting your boat's hull from scratches, this high-quality, weather-resistant, 100% polyethylene terephthalate (PET) polyester carpet is breathable so it will dry quickly and your bunk boards won't become saturated with water. With very little water absorption, mold and mildew won't stand a chance. Just make sure to rinse off the carpeting regularly, especially if sand or dirt gets in the fibers, to help protect your boat's finish. You'll also want to use rustproof stainless steel or nickel/copper staples to attach your carpeting instead of common galvanized steel. Application: 11" wide rolls will cover 2" x 4" or 2" x 6" bunk boards 18" wide rolls will cover 3" x 8" or 4" x 8" bunk boards
