Product Overview
Make custom bungee cords and systems to secure onboard gear. Shock cord is an great way to secure stowed items onboard. Making custom length shock cords or a fixed bungee cord can keep regularly stowed item in their place. Hogrings are an excellent method of creating an eye to attach to a pad eye, carabiner, or hook. Simply double back a length of shock cord and using pliers or a special hogring tool secure it with two stainless steel hogrings. If you plan to more than just a couple of shock cords, consider the special hogring tool it will make the process much easier and faster. For a finished look, a section of heat shrink (from our electrical department) slipped onto the shock cord prior to crimping the hogrings can be slid over the crimped rings and heated to hide any sharp edges of the stainless fittings. Hogrings are size designations refer to shock cord diameter and are available in f commonly diameters.
