Product Overview
A strong and easy-to-use alternative to the clevis pin and fingernail-busting "ring dings". These Ball-Lok Quick Release pins are very convenient to use and they hold tenaciously. One-hand release. Just push the button in the center of the pin to release, then pull. Pins are very secure, and nearly impossible to remove by mistake. Grade 316 stainless steel construction for corrosion resistance. Many uses on a boat and elsewhere: We have seen these used in countless applications, such as restraining an anchor on its anchor roller, attaching dinghy shrouds to chainplates, a gooseneck to a mast, and more. They're great for any hardware that gets regularly removed. What is the usable length? Usable length is the distance from the locking ball to the base or face of the pin handle/knob. So a Usable Length of 3/4" would go through a 3/4" thick piece of material or pipe. The locking mechanism would then protrude out the other side of the material or pipe, creating a secure lock. Note: Ball-Lok Working Load Limits are calculated in double shear, not as pull-out force, which is not rated. Ball-Lok Quick-Release Pin Selection Chart
