The entire force of the blow is spent in a striking action. The urethane surfaces allow the power hitter to be used in areas when sparks from an exposed metal hammer could cause trouble. The soft face is also non-marring and doesn't adsorb liquids. Tests prove these hitters outperform, and outlast other soft face materials.
