This A H Lighting GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) receptacle, model GFCI-20-W-TR, is a 20 Amp, 125 Volt, tamper-resistant device designed for residential use. It provides critical electrical shock protection by detecting and interrupting ground faults, suitable for locations like bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor areas where water exposure is possible. The receptacle features self-testing functionality, continuously monitoring its ability to respond to a ground fault and indicating if its protection is compromised. Tamper-resistant (TR) shutters prevent the insertion of foreign objects into the outlet slots, enhancing safety, particularly for children. Its feed-through wiring capability allows it to extend ground fault protection to downstream conventional receptacles on the same circuit. Constructed from thermoplastic, this monochromatic receptacle includes a matching wall plate and complies with UL 943 safety standards for GFCIs. It features a NEMA 5-20R configuration.
