The company initially provided electronics compounds, adhesives, coatings, composites, molds, and castings to the OEM market. The business grew and started to meet the demand for high-quality building restoration supplies in the early 1980s. The firm introduced LiquidWood and WoodEpox for the restoration of wood, ABOCRETE, Aboweld 55-1, and Abojet for the restoration of concrete, and Metalfix, Bronzeweld, and Ferrobond for the restoration of metal. These items were first marketed only to contractors for installation and were intended for use in architectural restoration. Soon after, it became imperative to ease direct sales to end consumers due to the enormous demand for these products. The company also developed a network of retailers for its wood repair solutions.
