Product Overview
The Abyss Battery AB-G8D is a marine battery tray designed to secure a single Group 8D battery. Constructed from marine-grade Starboard, a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) infused with UV inhibitors, the tray resists rot, swelling, delamination, and fading. It offers chemical resistance against saltwater, acids, oils, and gas, and is impact resistant down to -20°F. The tray withstands tensile loads exceeding 150 kgf and is designed for easy cleaning. It meets United States Coast Guard (USCG) Code of Federal Regulations 183.420 and American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) E-10.7 requirements, ensuring the battery is restrained to prevent movement and contains potential electrolyte spills. The external dimensions of the tray are approximately 22.375 x 12.75 x 0.5 inches, accommodating Group 8D batteries with internal dimensions of approximately 19.5 x 10.5 inches (top) and 19.125 x 10.25 inches (bottom)
