Product Overview
The Airex Manufacturing 72C-B E-Flex Guard is a 6-foot flexible PVC protective cover designed for outdoor HVAC line set and pipe insulation. This system shields insulation with a 3/4-inch wall thickness from environmental damage, including UV radiation, moisture, ice, and fungus. It functions as a Class II Vapor Retarder, allowing moisture to escape while preventing water ingress, thereby maintaining insulation integrity and preventing corrosion. Installation is quick and re-usable, featuring a dual-bonded hook and loop fastening system, reinforced with UV-resistant nylon cable ties for long-term security. The protector complies with IECC 2012, 2015, 2018, and 2021 energy codes and has been tested to ASTM G153 (UV exposure), ASTM D570 (water absorption), ASTM E96 (water vapor permeability), ASTM E84/UL 723 (flame & smoke rating 25/450), ASTM G21 (anti-fungal/antimicrobial), and ASTM D412 (tension deformation).
