The Airex Mfg. E-Flex Guard (model 72X-B) is a protective cover designed for HVAC line set and outdoor pipe insulation. Constructed from engineered PVC material, it provides UV and weather resistance, shielding insulation from solar radiation, ice, fire, fungus, and moisture degradation. This protector also functions as a Class II Vapor Retarder, preventing moisture damage to insulation and piping. It features a self-gripping, dual-bonded hook and loop fastening system for quick, removable, and reusable installation, secured further by UV-resistant nylon cable ties. This 6-foot, black cover is specifically designed to fit 1-inch wall thickness pipe insulation. It complies with 2012, 2015, 2018, and 2021 IECC energy codes for piping insulation protection and meets ASTM standards for weatherization (G153), water vapor permeability (E96), anti-fungal/antimicrobial properties (G21), water absorption (D570), and flame/smoke rating (E84/UL 723, 25/450).
