Product Overview
The iconic Andersen "Elvstrom Bailers" are the global standard for racing dinghy and keelboat use. Designed by sailing legend Paul Elvstrom, Andersen Bailers are used in Stars, 420 and 470, Thistles, Snipes, Lightnings and many other traditional one-design classes. Their ingenious design uses venturi effect to produce suction and maximize water transfer. Simply open the bailer when the boat is sailing at adequate speed to drain. An anti-drainback flapper valve minimizes water intrusion when the boat slows down. Typically installed in pairs on port and starboard sides for optimum bailing on both tacks.
