CAUTION !!! When removing a Honda ignition lock from the steering column you will need to remove the shear head bolts. The ignition locks on the following models use RIGHT HAND THREAD bolts, remove by turning to the right (clockwise), and reinstall by turning to the left (counter clockwise). Accord 2013-18 Civic 2012-18 CRV 2014-18 Fit 2014-18 HR-V 2015-18 Replacement bolts with right hand thread are available as part no. F-19-501. Replacement bolts as used on older models with left hand thread are available as part no. F-00-501, which has been used on many different makes and models of cars over the years. Trying to use a bolt with the wrong thread can quickly result in stripped threads on the ignition lock housing, for which replacements are only available from Honda dealers. At this time only Honda is known to use right hand thread bolts in the ignition locks
