It is suitable for both above-ground and underground applications, including concrete encasement, offering resistance to sunlight, moisture, and corrosion. The elbow connects via a plain end, solvent weld system, typically requiring PVC cement and primer. It conforms to NEMA TC-3 for PVC fittings used with rigid PVC conduit and tubing and is UL Listed, meeting UL 514B standards for conduit, tubing, and cable fittings, which includes requirements for Schedule 80 PVC conduit.
